A personal brand identity project
This projects is a tribute to my hometown basketball team - Pallacanestro Reggiana - playing in the national major series.
It's merely intended as an act of love to one of my greatest passion: basketball.
The number and the name on the jersey is far from casual, I had the fortune to watch Mike Mitchell during his last seasons. He was one of the greatest players who ever played in Italy, and the greatest who ever played in Reggio Emilia.
Reggio is the city were the Italian flag was born, that is why you will find the classic green-white-red combination on the jerseys.
I tried different designs for the “R” logo, then I replaced the historic silhouette of a shooting player with the silhouette of a shooting…Mike Mitchell.
Pall. Reggiana colors are now white and red, but in 1974, when the club was founded as a non-professional team, the colors were actually white and blue.
